Sr. Eleanor Young was a wonderful person. She befriended my husband and I while he was working for her at UTHSC. She introduced us to her nephew, John Schmitt, and his wife Lisa, who became my best friend. Eleanor was always available and I have fond memories of her.

I worked for Dr. Young as her Senior Research Assistant at UTHSCSA from 1975-1981. I couldn't have worked for a more lovely person and compassionate boss. I consider my years with her a treasure and some of the best of my professional career.
