I had Mrs. Bird in first grade in 1963. She is one of my answers for password-word protection for 'favorite teacher'. So she will never be forgotten.

Dot Bird was my first grade teacher approximately 30 years ago. She was wonderful and I never forgot her. Her husband, Alton, used to tie my brownie tie each week when he came into the drug store in Corinna in which my mom worked and the place where I stayed until I left for school. Ironically, our families crossed paths many times in that Dot's daughter (Donna) is my sister's (Marcia) sister-in-law. I pass along my thoughts and prayers to the entire family. Dot will always be a fond...
