PEOPLES FUNERAL HOME - ATHENS Obituary

Funeral service for Elena Rich of Huntsville, Alabama will be held on Saturday, March 9, 2024, at 12:00 noon at Popular Creek M. B. Church (16031 Poplar Creek Rd, Athens, AL 35611) with Pastor Clarence Johnson, Ph.D., as Eulogist. Interment and committal will be at Popular Creek cemetery. Mrs. Rich will lie in repose from 11:00 a.m. until service time.

Public viewing will be at the Peoples Funeral Home on Friday, March 8, 2024, from 12:00 noon until 5:00 p.m. and visitation from 5:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m.

Mrs. Rich was not just my mother-n-law she was a true and genuine friend. She was kind and compassionate and touched the lives of of many. As a foster parent she welcomed numerous children into her home, providing them with love, support, and stability. Her passing leaves a void in my heart. I take solace in the fact that she is now with the Lord. The memories and time we shared together will forever live on in my heart.
