I was so sorry to hear about Elena's passing. I remember her warm and friendly personality when we worked together at the EEOC. She will certainly be missed. My deepest sympathy to her family and friends. My thoughts and prayers are with you.

Elena R. Vergara made the World a better place and she will be greatly missed. She was one of strongest and bravest women Houston has ever seen and she had a relevant expression (in many languages) for every situation!!!She always looked forward, made a positive out of a negative and stayed focused on the greater good. Thank you to my dear friend Elena for many life lessons.

Yo conoci a Elena hace muchos años, admire su entrega en nuestra comunidad, ayudando sin pensar a quien, siempre atenta, siempre de buen corazon y con esa sonrisa que te hacia sentir bienvenido.
