Not sure what to say?

Eleta was like an older sister to me. We lived on the same street. She walked me to school. I will always remember the bonds our families shared. We were neighbors, friends, and family. Eleta's passing is a loss to us all. I cherish my memories of her. Sincere condolences from the entire Saunders family.

I realize this is way late but I was unaware of her passing until recently and only saw this today. Ms. C was nothing short of amazing. When my mother was hospitalized for an extended period of time she looked after me. My behavior changed not for the better and she put an immediate stop to the that. She spoke teachers I was having issues with and made sure they understood there what was going on. She was more than my homeroom and art teacher she was my guardian angel and school mom. ...

Thank you for making me feel so loved. I remember you telling me I was the daughter you never had. I was so awkward...you were my shining light and thought about me when I didn't even know you did. You even had no problem reprimanding me when I needed it. I love you and I am still an artist today...living legacy. I model my impact after you. Thank you, Love you!

I remember that in her own quiet way, Eleta was always a calming and encouraging spirit whenever she was part of a controversial discourse. As Narda's big sister, and close friend to Janet Taylor Pickett, I had no choice but to look up to her. She was a blessing to everyone, including the students she mentored with love, the art world she contributed to with passion, and the Newark community she heralded. May the family find peace in knowing she is at rest, and that she blessed so many...

I was a classmate of Eleta's at Arts High School. We all take pride in her many accomplishments, her commitment to her students, and to Arts High and the Newark community. She will be greatly missed. My condolences to her family and friends.

Just recently, you wore your colorful beautiful hat that you made out of your art work. You posed with it on so that I could take a picture of her in her latest creation. I will treasure that pic. You loved the Newark community, Arts High school, always supporting artists and concerts. Will be sorely missed. Thanks for your love!
