R.I.P my old teammate. Seen next to me on his tiptoes making me #41 laugh...

Kise,
Dear football brother at Long Beach State, 1976. You were truly a gentle giant and loved by your teammates and coaches. Rest well Kise.

My dear brother, Kise. I'll always remember the day you stopped me, when I was only a Carson High freshman. 'Hey!....Little Minami!". I was terrified! Then you said 'I've got you covered'...and only then did I understand the gentle, caring person that you were! Now 46 years later- I've never forgotten those simple, yet meaningful words, my brother! Thank you!

You were a giant to behold but a gentle giant indeed. Awesome on the athletic side but kind and gentle off the field. Your big smile is what I will remember you by. It was infectious.
To Julie and your family praying Almighty God comforts you all until that glorious reunion.
Godspeed your journey my brother Alofa tele atu!

Thoughts of sympathy are with you today at this time of loss. Numbers 6:24-26

Deepest Condolences to Julie and children. Kise was a great brother and close friend to me growing up in Carson, California. He was one of the best human beings I have ever had the pleasure to know and an awesome football player. I have ALWAYS admired the way he carried himself and looked up to him throughout my high school days. He will always be remembered and thought of with the fondest of memories. Rest in Peace my dear friend and bro...may the knowledge of the Plan of Salvation comfort...
