Not sure what to say?

Eli Labiner was my logic professor in 1974. I loved the class and the subject. I tutored logic at Mott after I took the class. It isn't often one can talk about a great class which was as rigorous as his class was, but I thoroughly enjoyed being challenged by Professor Labiner. (I still have that textbook!). As a college professor myself these days, I owe a lot of my mental discipline to the good professor. Thank you Professor Labiner.

I was Mr. and Mrs. Labiner's Flint Journal carrier in 1971, later served him at Comber's Market and eventually had him for Intro to Logic at Mott. He was one of the neighborhood greats, among many. I still think of him when I'm trying to explain to my kids the difference between a valid and a sound argument. If everyone taught that one thing I remember from Mr. Labiner, maybe our country would be in better shape. God Bless his family.

Deepest sympathy. May his loved ones find strength and courage in this time of difficulty. Eli will be missed sadly.
