Angelus Funeral Home - San Antonio Obituary



Mrs. Elida Hernandez Moreno passed away Saturday, May 5, 2018 at the age of 82.

Mrs. Moreno was a direct descendent of the Hernandez / Jimenez families, founders of San Antonio. She had a strong Catholic faith and loved life, music, traveling and was a devoted fan of “Los Spurs.”  Mrs. Moreno retired from SAISD after 28 years of service.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Pedro R. Moreno; daughter, Rosa Linda Galvan; parents: Esteban Hernandez and Rosa Martinez Lopez; 11 siblings. She is survived by her daughter, Sylvia Galvan Gonzalez and husband, Reynaldo; numerous nieces and nephews.



 



The family would like to thank Dr. Manuel Rodriguez, Dr. Jose Roldan, Hospice Austin, Marika Johnson (caregiver), Thelma and Ward (neighbors), Francisco Nino, Vicky Munoz, and the HEB Pharmacy Staff (Cedar Park, TX), for their care and assistance.



 



FUNERAL SERVICES



 



Visitation will begin Thursday, May 10th at 5:00 P.M. in The Angelus Chapel with a Rosary to be recited at 7:00 P.M.

Funeral Mass will be offered Friday, May 11th at 10:00 A.M. at Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church.

Entombment will follow at San Fernando Archdiocesan Cemetery No.2.
