Hello. My name is Aaron Smalley and I'm an active duty Chief Petty Officer stationed at the Pentagon and just came across Eli's story today. I was literally crying at my desk at the Pentagon, this young man has inspired me. My wife is currently in a battle with breast cancer, so I can somewhat relate to the struggle. I want to thank Eli for the lessons about love, bravery and living life to the fullest everyday that he left to all of us. For such a young man he was wise beyond his years. I believe that God gave him to all of us as a gift for a season and He used him mightily to touch many hearts. Eli taught us what it is to be alive in Christ.
