Not sure what to say?

Elijah,

I love you and I miss you. You took a part of me with you that day. I find peace in knowing you are with the Lord - I haven't lost' you - I know exactly where you are and that I will see you again. I miss you and thank God for the memories I have of you from before you were even born.

You were a wonderful young man who touched many lives. We each wish we could have had more time with you. We are soldiering on, but each day we feel the empty spot in our lives that losing...

Do not ever think Elijah and his family are forgotten...When Elijah came home we were there to greet him. We did not know him but will never forget the reverence and care given... more than on the days that have passed but expecially when on Wreaths Across Americia Day...we remember...and thank God for those who cared about us....The Oregon Dental Assistants Association continues to remember and pray....you are special to us!

My family & I--and a dear friend of my wife--sat next to Elijah's beautiful daughter, wife, and mother-in-law at the remembrance at 45th Infantry Division Museum. I mentioned how this brings thoughts to my mind of one fallen soldier/medic from my own hometown--Sgt Robert Brian Cowdrey. I post here mainly to let them know they will continue to be in our thoughts...but we are also close by, should they ever need to contact.

Each and every breath of fresh air that we take for granted is made possible because of the sacrifices of heroes like SGT Elijah Rao. Our most sincere condolences are sent from our Douglasville Georgia home to the family and friends of this American Hero. It is because of his willingness serve in harms way that allow us to live free. He served as a defender of our freedom, may he now rest in peace with God, his mission is complete.

It is because of his sacrifice that I am able to...

Your legacy will forever live on in the hearts of those who knew you and shared in your struggle to protect our country and the ultimate sacrifice you gave so that we can be grateful for what we have. Your family, friends, loved ones and fellow soldiers will stay in my thoughts and prayers.
A Proud Military Mom.

Thank you for your sacrifice, Sgt. Rao. You are remembered today and everyday by many people, some who knew you and others who did not. I never had the oppurtunity to know you, but I have learned much about you through your loving mother. Our country is a better place because you were here. Thank you!

As we remember those close to us, today in USA is a special day of many loved ones. I think and pray for all of you.

Thank you, Elijah, for keeping us safe & free. You are always in my heart.

May God continue to uphold you.
