Not sure what to say?

Elly will always be remembered by us as the BEST neighbor anyone could ever want! We always enjoyed having Elly as our guest for dinner whether planned or spontaneous. We will always remember the "Chicken Fricassee" as our favorite, especially the raised steamed dumplings! THE BEST!! The small portion of life we shared was genuine and compsed by the mutual love and respect we had for each other as well as for our community and our country. Our pledge is to preserve and protect these qualities...

Elly was a dear friend over the many years we knew each other. The weekly LB's were special. So nice seeing our children all grown, and now their children becoming young adults. She was missed when she moved to Sam and Cathy's, but was still available via e-mails ect. Now is a final loss.
Sharing her birthday with Dan will always be a special party memory. May peace be yours, you will be missed.

Aunt Elly was always full of love for family, friends and nature. And I will always remember how she loved sharing the joy of learning where I am sure she made a huge impact on many lives. My daughter remembers learning to identify birds by their song with Aunt Elly's "special bird call machine" and how exciting it was when she gave us our own for Christmas one year. We will miss you.

I loved knowing Elly when we taught at Community School. What a lovely, kind, knowledgeable person she was all the time. I enjoyed trips to Corkscrew more when Elly was there to teach me.
My prayers are with her family.
Sincerely,
Ann Walters

Elly Dorrance was such a special person that the bond we formed over the years will never be broken thanks to her wonderful son Sam and my daughter Cathy and our two lovely little grand_children. She will be greatly missed by us all. I know though now, that she is at peace. Your friend Carolynne Thomas

Elly Dorrance was a wonderful person, and she will be greatly missed. As her niece, I enjoyed many special times with her over the years. I will miss speaking with her regularly about what's happening in my schools now as we would reminisce about her days teaching. My family's thoughts and prayers are with all of Aunt Elly's family members & friends; may you find peace knowing that she is at peace.
