GACH, Elinor M. - Of Flint Township, age 78, died Wednesday, December 28, 2016 at her residence, surrounded by family.


 


Funeral Mass will be celebrated 11am Monday, January 2, 2017 at Holy Redeemer Catholic Church, 1227 East Bristol Road, Burton, Father Steve Anderson officiating.



Cremation will take place following the Mass.


 


In lieu of flowers or mass money, contributions may be made to the North End Soup Kitchen and Carriage Town Ministries or Holy Redeemer Outreach.


 


Visitation 1-4pm and 6-8pm Sunday at the Swartz Funeral Home, 1225 West Hill Road, Flint. A Rosary will be prayed 7pm Sunday evening at the funeral home. Visitation 10am Monday at the church until the time of the Mass.


 


Elinor was born in Bakerton, Pennsylvania, on March 4, 1938, the daughter of Leo and Ruth (Thomas) Panczak. She married John Gach of Spangler, PA in 1960. She was a devout Catholic and loving mother. She loved volunteering at the North End Soup Kitchen, the American Red Cross and as a Eucharistic Minister at Genesys Regional Medical center. Elinor loved spending time in the Adoration Chapel. Family was important to her.


 


Surviving are children, Michael (Ann) Gach, Roxanne (Joseph) Brushaber-Vensko, Greg Gach, Richard Gach, Marcia (Paul) Gratsch, Robert (Tina) Gach, Joseph (Amy) Gach and Stephen Gach;


 


grandchildren, William Brushaber, Taylor Vensko, Sara Gach, Matthew Gach and Haley Gratsch;


 


brothers and sisters, Thomas (Mary Ann) Panczak, Gerald (Marianne) Panczak, William (Diane) Panczak, Anne Richardson and Gloria Jean Chlopik;


 


and many extended family members.


 


She was also preceded in death by her husband, John Gach, parents, Leo and Ruth Panczak, sisters Alice Weakland, Mary Margaret Carberry and granddaughter, Carolanne Brushaber.
