I had Miss Hooker as an English teacher at Nauset. She always made me feel as though I was her favorite student. I'm thinking, now, she made everyone feel that way. Thank you for sharing... What a beautiful obituary!

I am sorry that I never had the pleasure of meeting Aunt Betty, though what I do see is that her kindness and thoughtful ways continue to live in her loving family. Her spirit will always be at the cottage and with you. Delightful eulogy….

What a blessing to have my life cross paths with Miss Hooker. I still clearly remember how she brought life to Dickens and Shakespeare like no other. She touched and positively effected countless souls. Rest in Peace Miss Hooker, and may your family cherish her wonderful memories and creativity! Christian LaPense - Nauset Class of 1976

What memories of Miss Hooker. I will never forget my classes with her in the old Wellfleet High School. Thanks to Joyce and all who stayed close to her throughout the years. She was a wonderful and caring person and great teacher. We will never forget Miss Hooker.

What a wonderfully well-written obituary! Although I never had the pleasure of knowing her, I now feel that I do KNOW Miss Hooker through this extraordinarily fine piece of writing. Well done! Your teacher and mentor is, I'm sure, proud and happy and blessed.
