Elise H. Santoro, SFO, 74, Kansas City, MO, passed away on March 18, 2005. Mass of Christian Burial will be 10 a.m., Monday, March 21, 2005, at St. Elizabeth Church, 75th and Main, KCMO. Interment will be in Gate of Heaven Cemetery in Kansas City, KS. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Catholic Community Hospice, 2220 Central Ave., Kansas City, KS, 66102, or to St. Elizabeth Church Memorial Fund for the purchase of the new crucifix. Elise was born March 16, 1931, in Evanston, IL, however she grew up in New Orleans, LA. She enjoyed growing in her Catholic faith, painting, writing poetry and being a model of strength and courage to other people with physical challenges. Elsie was a few hours short of a college degree from U.M.K.C. in biblical archeolgy and she knew where to catch a Mass any given time. She was recently professed into the Secular Franciscan Order. Elise was preceded in death by her husband, Dr. Carlos Santoro. Survivors include her daughter, Signe Santoro, and sons, Carl, Sean, and Rene Santoro; grandchildren, Brianne, Lauren, Carlos, Brock, and JOY.
