CAFFEY Mrs. Eliza Dilligard Caffey, well know centenarian, was a member of Bethel Baptist Institutional Church, where she served on the Deaconess Board, Citywide Deaconess Board, Usher Board, Keenagers Ministry and the Seekers of Truth Church School class. She went home to be with the Lord on May 13, 2010. Mrs. Caffey was a native of Charleston, SC, having resided in Jacksonville, FL, most of her life. She was predeceased by her husband, Isaac H. Caffey; mother, Anna Bennett; 2 sons, Willie Anderson Jr. and Robert L. Thompson. Survivors include her loving and devoted daughter, Dr. Ruth A. Stephens; sister, Mrs. Rosa Miner (Elias); brother, Mackey Brown (Linda); daughters-in-law, Mmes June Anderson and Gladys P. Thompson; 7 grandchildren; 8 great grandchildren; 4 great, great grandchildren; a number of other relatives and friends. A Funeral Service will be held at NOON, Saturday, May 22, 2010 at Bethel Baptist Institutional Church, Dr. Rudolph W. McKissick, Sr. and Bishop Rudolph W. McKissick, Jr., Pastors. Mrs. Caffey will rest in the mortuary for visitation FRIDAY from 5 PM until 8 PM (where the family will receive friends at 5 PM) and at the church Saturday from 10 AM until the hour of service. Interment will be in Evergreen Cemetery. Friends are asked to assemble at the church under the direction of ALPHONSO WEST MORTUARY, INC., 4409 Soutel Dr. 904-766-9671.
