Not sure what to say?

Thank you Dr. Gleason for holding up the banner. I did not know you, I never met you, but I benefited from your excellence. With condolences to her wealth of family members, friends and colleagues. Ruth P. Wilson (San Jose State University)

I am so glad to join a profession that had such great leaders from North Carolina leading the way. I can only hope that our generation can set such great examples for the next generation of African American librarians to follow. Thank you for being the first.

I am so sorry to hear that she has crossed over. My deepest condolences to her family and friends. She was a pillar of the profession. Truly, we stand on the shoulders of giants such as she.

A completely awesome woman and great motivation for others pursuing their PhD in LIS. I am proud to be a fellow UIUC-GSLIS alumnus.

Dr. Gleason's contributions continue to influence and inspire us all. My sincere sympathy to the Family.

Joy & Family,

Thank you for the opportunity of meeting your mother, Dr. E. Gleason. Her gentle speech and loving smile will forever be in my memory. You will continually be in my prayers.

What a remarkable woman. The Carew family are in my prayers.
