December 15, 2020 was a sad day for many as a beautiful soul has moved on to the next life while in the comfort of home surrounded by family.
Liz-Xander was a young, feisty, and fiercely caring individual who has always said they never wanted to grow up; they always wanted to stay a kid. At only 26 years old, they taught us the true meaning of family and forgiveness. They also taught us the hard truth- no one lives forever. At 25, they went to the hospital for what seemed like minor health concerns. Minor in the fact that none of us could have foretold such news. Liz-Xander was diagnosed with Stage 3 Adrenocortical Carcinoma. Disbelief and horror poured over everyone when we were given the news. Questions flooded our minds. How? Why? Liz-Xander had a very rare cancer. Not much research has gone into this specific disease because not many receive that heartbreaking news. Liz-Xander was determined to exorcise this demon. They attempted surgery straight away. After surgery, we had thought, hoped, and even prayed that it had removed the cancer that has overtaken them. By the time, they had done a scan, Liz was Stage 4. Cancer had spread throughout Liz-Xander’s body. Liz-Xander tried chemo, clinical trials, and surgery to no avail. Finally, it was time to make a tough decision; no more torture for this sweet person. Hospice was then introduced.
Hospice did what they could to keep Liz-Xander comfortable in their final days, but I believe it was family and their beautiful wife, Rev, that really helped. Once Liz-Xander saw all the love together in one house; they felt it was time to let go. All this amazing person wanted in life was peace, love, family and that PS5 an amazing friend had gotten Liz-Xander the day prior. Bittabiff will forever be missed and those memories will be cherished forever more. We love you, Bittabiff (Xander). Until we meet again. April 06, 1994 ~ December 15, 2020
