Elizabeth Fox Annese

Elizabeth Fox Annese, 79, passed away peacefully on June 21, 2010 surrounded by family. She was born in Newport, RI, a daughter of the late Samuel and Elizabeth (Duffy) Fox, and the wife of Matthew Annese. Elizabeth was a Greenville resident for 25 years, and she was a longtime retiree of the A. T. Cross Company of Lincoln.

Elizabeth had a kind and generous heart.  She enjoyed gatherings with her family, friends and many nieces and nephews.  She was a devoted member of the Smithfield Senior Center where she enjoyed all the social events and parties.

She was the beloved mother of David Annese and his wife, Annette Mendonca , of Providence; Daniel Annese and his partner, Ron Mize of Manhattan; and Peter Annese and his wife, Rhonda D’Alfonso, of North Providence; sister of  Dorothy Brown of North Kingstown, Rita Fox of South County, Frances Stabelia of Warren and the late Helen Wilson, Samuel Fox and Charles Fox.

Her funeral will be held Friday at 10am from the TUCKER-QUINN Funeral Chapel, 643 Putnam Ave., (Rt. 44) Greenville, with a Mass of Christian Burial at 11am in St. Philip Church, 622 Putnam Avenue, Greenville. Visitation Friday morning 8:30 – 10:30am.
