Not sure what to say?

I am heartbroken by this news. Elizabeth was a very dear and wonderful friend during high school and during out time together at the University of Michigan. She was always so full of life and laughter. Sadly, we did not keep in touch much after college, but I have thought of her often. What a remarkable woman and what a great loss. My love, thoughts, and prayers to the family.

Elizabeth was my son's math teacher at Fletcher, and they had really hit it off. She was very attentive to his needs and was always in communication with me and very concerned and caring. She was a real asset to Fletcher and will be greatly missed by her students and their parents. May God Bless her family and bring them comfort in these difficult times.

My deepest sympathy to the family. May the peace of God that excels all thought guard your hearts.Philippians 4:6,7.

Elizabeth was my son's math teacher from this year. As an instructor, Elizabeth exuded love for her students, and my son felt this.

Elizabeth and I rekindled our college friendship in recent years. Once we found each other on Facebook, we picked up where we left off when we shared our disheveled apartment in Chapel Hill during the summer of 85. It was an enduring friendship that planted itself in my heart at 22 years old, and followed me into middle-age when I needed it most. I will miss so many things about Dickman -- that warm, funny way she had of laughing and talking at the same time; her love of words and books, and...

Spring 1978?

Elizabeth was such fun in high school. I loved her sense of humor. We would laugh about our follies and foibles all the time we were together. She had a great perspective on life. I send her family and friends my deepest sympathies. She will be remembered fondly by all who were fortunate to know her.

I can't believe that I saw Elizabeth just a short time ago at the Farm/Chef harvest dinner at the Carrboro Farmers Market and that she is gone so suddenly. What a loss. Please accept deep condolences to the family, and especially Janet with whom she was having such a good time that evening.

I am so sorry for the loss of your dear Elizabeth. We were close friends in high school,at Hawken. She was gentle, funny, thoughtful and tough minded all at the same time. She was a good friend too. Much peace and love to Elizabeth's family and community.
