Elizabeth painted very beautiful captured images of our beloved dogs. The paintings bring them back to life for me every time I look at them.

The world has lost a 'great' soul. I found it a tremendous honor being the significant other of a living legend, not because of her fame but rather for the individual Elizabeth was. I say this with extreme pride and with the highest respect for I would like the world to remember her as the loving, kind, and modest person that she was in real life. She knew who she was, yet carried herself in a very unassuming manner with a smile and kind word for everyone she met regardless of her notoriety....

With great shock I came across this sad news by pure accident.

My late husband and I used to stay at the Royal Vancouver Yacht Club's Stanley Park Outstation for a week at the end of our September BC sailing cruises, and wandered through the Park's weekend Art Shows. There was much mediocrity displayed, but we soon found Elizabeth. We tried to buy a particular painting, but she was not ready to let it go. Elizabeth Lauder, was like a sunny day, with a ready smile for everyone she touched. As for her art, I personally own more than a hundred of her watercolors depicting mining scenes across the western United States.
