Elizabeth “Betty” Ann (Silva) Cronin of Washburn Street, Attleboro, Massachusetts died on Monday, July 2, 2007 at the Sturdy Memorial Hospital at the age of 82. She was the wife of Timothy “Bill” W. Cronin, Sr. to whom she was married to on February 07, 1948.

Born in Attleboro, Massachusetts on December 12, 1924 she was the loving daughter of the late John A. and Mary (Ventura) Silva. She had resided in Attleboro throughout her entire life.

During her high school years, she had attended and graduated from Attleboro High School with the class of 1943. She had enjoyed spending her free time with her adoring grandchildren and family and had never passed up a great opportunity to go out to eat with the ones she loved. Entertaining friends and family at her home were one her delights and brought joy to her life. Elizabeth frequented women’s social groups often and her and her sisters were known as the “Silver Bells”. She liked being outdoors, especially vacationing and camping in Cape Cod during the summer months. She illuminated with delight by the look of beauty in flowers. Listening to music and dancing were two of her favorite past times along with playing the organ. Elizabeth was also known to cheer for her local sports team, in particular the Boston Red Sox.

She was a communicant of St. Mark’s Roman Catholic Church, Attleboro Falls.

In addition to her husband, she is also survived by her seven children: Kathleen M. Cronin and her husband, Peter L. Desrochers, of Keene, New Hampshire; Timothy W. Cronin, Jr. and his wife, Joyce Cronin, of Attleboro; Dennis J. Cronin and his wife, Donna Cronin, of Attleboro; Patricia A. Cronin and his wife, Pamela Cronin, of St. Thomas, Virgin Islands; two sisters: Bella (Silva) Nobrega, of Attleboro and Anne (Silva) Bachman, of Attleboro; thirteen grandchildren; two great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.
