Not sure what to say?

Betty,
It’s almost been a year and still feels like yesterday. I know you’re watching over us because things just happen that tells us so. I made sure I called Evie weekly to see how she was doing. She had good days and bad days. There was one time I called and knew right away it was a bad day. This time however I knew a phone call was not going to help. So I made flight arrangements to go back and spend some time with her. I asked her to get a list of things she needed to get done....

Evie, our hearts go out to you. We share in your grief, yet feel peaceful with how very fortunate you were to have had one another as partners for 22 years.

What a pair you were! It was fun to watch you bounce jokes and sarcasm off one another, always with love.

We will always remember the way Betty endearingly called you “Ma” and you called her “Bucky”! Betty had such a gift for making everyone feel comfortable. “Are you having a good time?” “Comon! Get up there and dance!”...

To the Friends and Family of Betty, I am so sorry for your loss. Betty was a nice and kind person. I knew Betty from the DOT. She will be missed by all.

Evie,
We are so very surprised and sad to learn of the passing of Betty. While we haven't known you for a long time, we have quickly grown to think of you as very dear people. We share in your grief and sadness. We are in South Carolina now and unfortunately will not be back in time for her services but our prayers and thoughts are with you today, on Friday and always. We will call you when we get back to Clifton Park.

With love and prayers,
Dolores and John

Evie and Family. I was in complete shock when I read about Betty in the paper this morning. She was a wonderful person. I remember all to well the fun we had bowling on Thursday nights at Uncle Sam Lanes. My thoughts and prayers are with you and your family.

We will all miss Betty. She was a bright ray of sunshine that shined on a sea of confusion.

Evie,
My deepest condolences on your loss. I knew Betty for many years at DOT, always with a smile and always willing to listen. She was a special person that I will never forget.

To Evie and the entire Crowley family--my deepest sympathy to all of you. I first saw Betty in 65 and began working with her in 66. Though we haven't seen much of each other since the 90s she was always on my mind. My heart goes out to all of you at this time.

Evie,
There are no words that can express the loss of your wonderful partner and my friend. Betty was my inspiration and mentor. She taught me many things. Both you and Betty gave me structure in my life when I needed it the most. We were a family and without your love and guidance there is no telling what my life may have become. There wasn't a tool Betty could not master or a job she could not do on her own. Ok maybe cooking. I will forever hold in my heart the memories of what Betty...
