Dear Ellen, Muffy and Brian and Mr. Cupka,
Growing up we were in and out of each other's houses and learned to love and respect each others parents. Who we are today has been so greatly shaped by the people of our formative years.
Your Mom and grandmother were wonderful ladies and I am glad to have known them.

I was sorry to hear of your mom's passing, but am happy that she lived a long and good life. We had a lot of good times together. You may recall she was our first cub scout leader. Be sure to plant an Iris for me!

Growing up on St. Paul Avenue in Newark, we were all one big family. Our parents worked together and looked out for each other's kids, and helped us all to learn right from wrong and how to get along, while keeping us out of harms way. Mrs. Cupka was one of those special moms, all members of the Sacred Heart Rosary Alter Society, who looked out for all of us as we grew up together in the 50's and 60's. I was sorry to hear the news of her passing, and extend my sympathies to her husband...
