Not sure what to say?

Dear Rosemary , Philippa & families

Elizabeth has been on my mind since the start of the new year. I now know the details, thanks to modern technology. Elizabeth will be sorely missed by so,many people from so many different backgrounds who loved and admired her. Our memories must be so similar. I will miss so much her wonderful letters. We must stay in touch as you have the same zest for life and love of the words to make your experiences ours. I wish you all a safe haven...

Dear Phillipa and Rosemary,
I first met Elizabeth in 1944 when before her 16th birthday she travelled from Victoria to Toronto to attend U of T. We were in residence together at Whitney Hall. After graduation we were both married and raising families of about the same ages in Ottawa. My husband and I enjoyed many evenings of Christmas carols with Liz and Alan. Sincerest condolences,

Philippa, our most heartfelt condolences to you and your family. Our thoughts are with you at this sad time.

Philippa & Rosemary

So sorry to hear of the loss of your Mother.

She will be sorely missed by all.

I will always remember the fun times we had when our Cadet group met at your place especially for the toffee pulls and all the international dinners we had.

Because of your mother’s influences I have remained in Guiding and hopefully, teaching the new generation of young ladies what friendship and guiding fun is all about.

Will keep you both...

Dear Rosemary and Philippa,

I am so sorry to hear about the loss of your Mom. I worked for your Dad at External Affairs and your mother was a very gracious hostess for several dinners and luncheons I attended in your home on River Road.

I still think of your Dad from time to time, he was a very lovely soul. They are together again in a peaceful place.

With sympathy,

Dear Philippa and family,

I met your mother on just one occasion at Philippa's home, and I recall clearly what a wonderful and warm meeting it was.

Please accept my deepest sympathies.

Dear Rosemary and family,

I have fond memories of your mother, a stalwart support in the front pew, from my days in the Cathedral choir. My thoughts and prayers are with you now.

To Philippa and Rosemary and Families,

I am sorry to be unable to attend the memorial service for your Mom. I will always treasure and appreciate the warm welcome she offered me to your family home and introduction to Ottawa over the years. There are many great memories there.
She was a powerful, caring and giving person who leaves behind a great legacy in the family she nurtured and souls she touched along the way. And for that, she will always be remembered.
She will...
