My deepest sympathy to Betty's family. I worked with Betty at the Applied Mathematics Lab at the David Taylor Model Basin. When I arrived in 1961, Betty was already known as one of the brilliant Mathematicians who worked in the Math Lab. In later years when I had more occasions to work with her, I also learned that she was a very kind, pleasant and friendly person. I join with her family in mourning her passing.

My deepest sympathy to the family. I worked with Betty at the David Taylor Naval Research and Development Center from 1956 - 1970 (UNIVAC 1 thru the LARC computers). Betty was brilliant, kind, warm and helpful to all in the Applied Mathematics area. I join you in mourning the transition of this great lady.

My deepest sympathy to the family and friends of Dr. Elizabeth Cuthill on her passing. Dr Cuthill was my manager in the Mathematics Laboratory of the DWT Naval Ship R&D Center during the early 1970s when I was still a very young engineer. She was not only an excellent supervisor and mathematician but she was also a warm, considerate, helpful, and kind person whom I came to respect and admire very much.
