Dear Alice, Anne, Robin and Peter,

Your mother's passing last summer was sad and bittersweet, and looking at her photo in the Journal reminds me of what a spirited woman she was. I didn't know her well but always enjoyed seeing her at the lake. I cherish a little clay pig, complete with apple in its mouth, she made for us when we had a pigroast one summer.

And now that a year has past since her death, Danny and I hope you can savor those wonderful memories of her without so...
