To all the members of Bettie's family, my deepest sympathy as she leaves you in person to be with God. We were about a month apart in age, but I always felt Bettie was much,much younger, given her energy and all the good she was doing for so many different entities. I remember my mom and Bettie "hanging out" when I was very young. I was impressed by her warmth and understood, at that tender age, that she was a woman of substance. I know how much she will be missed by her family, friends and the community.
