My dear Aunt Betty was a special person to many people. As a child, I enjoyed the privilege of spending a lot of time with her, especially during summers. She always treated me like a young person, not just a kid. She taught me to knit, applied my first lipstick for a family wedding when I was 11 years old, and took me to a jewelry store to buy me a birthstone ring when I was about 12. My sincere condolences to all that mourn their Dear Betty, especially to her sons and grandchildren. She truly was a gentle woman who is now home with the Blessed Mother. My own mother considered Betty her best friend. I loved calling her “The Consigliere” when I saw her!
