AGE: 87 • Mount Laurel

Elizabeth Catherine (nee Greenwich) 87, of Mount Laurel, New Jersey, died Tuesday, October 8, 2013 at Virtua Memorial Hospital, Mount Holly, NJ. Elizabeth was born in Philadelphia, PA and lived in Hainesport, NJ before moving to Mount Laurel in 2009.

She was preceded in death by her husband Andrew J. Downes Jr. in 1996; sisters Catherine Spencer, Helen Hosking and Mary Wooden and brother John Greenwich. Betty is survived by her daughter Cindy A. McNally of Mount Laurel; son Alan A. Downes (Karen) of Berlin, MD; brother Thomas Greenwich of Naples, FL; grandchildren Robert McNally (Chelsea) and Jennifer Alexander (Jonathan), both of Mount Laurel, and Lesley Downes and Andrew Downes, of Berlin, MD; and great grandchildren Jared and Evan.

The viewing will be held on Saturday, October 12th from 9:00 to 11:00 AM, immediately followed by an 11:00 AM funeral ceremony, all at the Mount Laurel Home for Funerals, 212 Ark Road, Mount Laurel, NJ. Final disposition will take place at Locustwood Memorial Park in Cherry Hill. In lieu of flowers, donations in Elizabeth's memory may be made to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, P.O. Box 50, Memphis, TN 38101-9929.
