Not sure what to say?

I have just learned of Liz's passing and my heart is saddened at this news. During the time we worked together, Liz was generous in her kindness and so very intelligent about people and the world around us. I will forever be appreciative of the books and insights she shared with me, always urging me to open my eyes to see the world through a better lens. Rest in peace, my friend.

My sympathies to Liz's family and close friends. One of the great delights of teaching is the opportunity to know people like Liz, who are warm, bright, generous, and a joy to be with. Her retirement was a loss to the profession and to the community. Her passing was something I just learned of, and an even deeper loss. I will miss her living presence but am grateful for the memories. Dan Blinka Marquette University Law School

Liz and I were classmates at Marquette Law. I loved our chats we'd have from time to time, and I always wished I knew her better. She was simply just a smart, warm, kind, and loving person. I'm so sorry to hear of her passing. My heart goes out to Liz's family. Liz, thank you for your kindness and your friendship.

Liz is a beautiful soul. So saddened to hear of her passing, so thankful to have known her. A quick wit, warm smile and kind heart. Wishing the Estes family and relatives peace.

I offer my prayers and condolences to Cecilia and the family. Liz was a beautiful light in my life because she very intentionally and consistently loved, nurtured and invested in my child from day one. I am forever grateful for the time and devotion from a very jovial, intelligent, disciplined and God fearing young woman. My daughter will reap the benefits of her presence throughout her life. I will miss her and cherish decades of wonderful memories. Rest In Peace Liz.

There will never be another like you! You showed the world what it is to be a Beautiful, Smart, Professional, Educated, Poised, Confident, Standup Citizen, Friend, Loyal, Caring, and Loyal a Black Woman can be! You showed the world that Milwaukee has a strong beacon of light, God fearing woman that was raised right and education was important. Yes, we lost another King General but you will always be in our hearts. May you rest in Heaven forever. We love you our sister and friend!

I worked with Liz at OLR for many years - she was smart, quirky and a great mimic. So very sorry to hear of her passing. My thoughts go out to all of you her loved her - I know she loved you all and spoke to me often about her family.

May peace be with the family and loved ones.

I, and my colleagues at OLR are very sorry for your loss. We loved working with Liz and missed her when she retired. We all wish you comfort and peace.
