Elizabeth "Betty" Fitzpatrick, 92, passed away peacefully in her sleep in the early morning hours of Tuesday, January 23, 2019.

Spunky and stubborn 'til the end of her days, Betty will be forever remembered as a force of nature who applied her matter-of-fact attitude and ceaseless energy to anything life threw at her. Betty was a great friend to many, but above all, she was a loving mother, a devoted grandmother, and a doting great grandmother whose warm heart and unwavering support lifted up everyone around her.

Betty's career took many interesting turns, from keeping her family's flower shop afloat following the death of her husband in 1972, to working as a medical secretary and as an executive secretary.

In 1985, Betty left King of Prussia, Pennsylvania in favor of Plantation, Florida, to be with her daughter Beth and the joys of her life, her beloved grandsons.

Betty spent many years volunteering in her community, including at the Broward Center for the Performing Arts, and at the Plantation Historical Museum, where she was named the Museum's Woman of the Year in 2004 for her tireless efforts.

Betty is survived by her brother James Patzuk, sister-in-law Marilyn Patzuk, her daughter Beth Tweed and husband Dennis and family, grandson Joseph DeLillo and wife Domenica, great granddaughter Layla and her mother Katelyn Blume, and scores of nieces, nephews, cousins and dear friends.

She was preceded in death by her husband Walter "Bud" Fitzpatrick, grandson Steven "Boe" DeLillo, parents Charles Patzuk and Catherine Kowolak, siblings Mary Kapral and husband John, Adam Patzuk and wife Juliana, Andrew Patzuk, Anna Young and husband Arnold, Alexander Odessa and wife Mildred, and sister-in-law Mabel Patzuk, wife of James.

Mass will be held at Saints Peter and Paul Ukrainian Church, 519 Union Avenue, Bridgeport PA, at 11am on Saturday, June 1, 2019. Burial services will follow at St. Augustine's Cemetery, 251 W DeKalb Pike, King of Prussia PA, and a luncheon following the burial will be held at Peppers Italian Restaurant in King of Prussia.

In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in Betty's name to: Plantation Historical Society, 511 N Fig Tree Lane, Plantation, FL 33317.

Aunt Betty was the definition of class. Rest in peace.

You can never think of Betty without seeing her smile and hearing her laugh. She was a delightful, admired lady and I am glad I had the opportunity to meet and enjoy times with her. There was no doubt about her love for her Family. They were always in her heart and she shared that in every conversation.
