Dear Jamie & Whit
Thinking of you this mothers day, and donated to Sonsini Animal shelter. Will see and hug you both soon. Love, Christy

In Memory of Liza Fosburgh for Mothers Day. She was a wonderful mother to her children Whit and Jamie, and to her canine family. Love, Christy, Jenny and Hilda Speicher

I just had news from Brittany of Liza's death. She and I exchanged notes and photographs last year. Though she and I never met face to face, I knew her brother, Admiral Turner Edmondson, quite well. Both were born in Moultrie, Georgia, where their father practiced medicine. I would be happy to hear from her sons and family. As historian of our Edmondson family, I will add the obituary to our records and advise others. I am sure her nephew, Dr. Henry Turner Edmondson III, who lives in...

I remember Mrs. Fosburgh from Pine Cobble School in WIlliamstown, Mass. She and my mother, Copper Klensch would talk for hours about cooking. My prayers go to her family.

Liza lived life to the fullest and shared that laughter and zest for living so freely. I cannot imagine the Adirondacks without her calling one dog or another from across the meadows and ponds. She was a very special person to me - and a link to so many of those I loved who are now gone. She has been in my life since birth and I will miss her tremendously. Love to Jamie & Blair, Whit & Abby and all the (very tall) grandchildren. xx

I spent a lot of time in my youth at Liza's place in Cherry Plain playing(and of course eating due to her great interest in cooking)with her children Whit and Jamie and my many siblings and our parents. I have many powerful and wonderful memories of her home and property. In October I visited with Liza (and one of those dogs perched on a couch)tagging along on one of Cessa's trips to bring her the paper and check in, it had been about a year since I'd seen her last. I am now so grateful I...

Liza shared her love of children, animals, and cooking with me and my sister over the many wonderful summers we spent with her, Whit, Jamie, and their well-loved pets in Cherry Plain. Her respect and care for nature and animals infused her home with love and humor. And she gave our childhood friendships the kind of support and freedom that led to many wonderful adventures I will cherish forever. Thank you Liza.

As mentioned in this beautiful obituary, we will not only miss that charming southern accent, but we will greatly miss the warmth and kindness of this unique lady. Author, conservationist, animal lover. The "hollow' will not be the same after living just down the road from Liza and her family for the last 35 years. Joyful memories of being Liza's neighbors & friends will always be with us. Our condolences to Whit, Jamie, Blair, Abbey and all the grandchildren
