I met Betty in my early years of teaching, but she welcomed and loved me like she had known me my whole life! We did a District training together and then, in turn, we got to go train other faculty in the district. I learned so much listening to her and absorbing her wisdom, knowledge and advice. Though she taught elementary school and I taught high school, there is one thing she said to me that I have clung to and referred back to numerous times.
