Elizabeth Ellen Graham PhD

My late husband, Dr. John Savery, knew Dr. Graham at The University of Akron and spoke highly of her. I met her while working as an adjunct instructor in the Communication Departments at both Kent State University and The University of Akron. Beth was positive, supportive, and experienced in teaching. My sincere condolences to her family, friends, and colleagues. Rest in peace.

Dr. Graham, Beth, was one of my best teachers, and I think of her every semester as I try to live up to the way she taught. A poignant example: Journal article transparencies. Beth skipped into our master´s research methods class one night with a stack of transparencies and fine-tipped markers. She had copied every page of a journal article onto those plastic films. She then spent most of the class painstakingly taking us through each page of the article, teaching us what the authors were...

Beth was a remarkable professor during my time at OU. She embodied a sense of care and leadership in ways I always admired. It's no question that she has touched so many lives in ways that continue on.
