Not sure what to say?

While working in public communications with the city of Chesspeake both of my parents became very ill. Mama with kidney failure and dad suffered a heart attack. Caring for them was extremely challenging. Talking to Lizz at work one day I mentioned how tired I was and still had to fix my parents dinner. With patience, kindness and compassion she listened. The next week Lizz fixed a pot of the most wonderful vegetable soup for my parents. I will never forget her kindness in this wonderful...

Dear Liz, we worked together in Chesapeake for a long time. You were so sweet to me. You and Bobbie were so kind to me that no one in IT would trust me to work on the Website. You supported me all the way. Thank you for being my good friend. I always remember beautiful smile on your face. You are my Angel. We will meet someday. I love you, Liz.

I offer condolences to the family and all loved ones. I had the awesome pleasure of working with Lizz. We shared countless conversations and laughs about almost everything. She seemed to know everyone and was always an advocate for the City of Chesapeake’s employees and citizens. I will cherish the great memories.

My condolences to her family. She was always very professional, very calm in my dealings with her when I was at The Pilot. -- Roger Chesley

Chris, so sorry that we have lost Lizz. I am honored to have had her as a good friend and colleague for many years. She was always available to listen and to help. She had such a positive attitude and was a joy to be around. I'll never forget those great ODU Football tailgate parties at WHRO. They were fantastic. Rest in peace, Lizz. I will miss you.

I was deeply saddened to learn of Lizz's passing. She was a beautiful person both outward and inward with a calm, warm spirit. She was passionate about her work and a devoted advocate for the City of Chesapeake. My son had the privilege to work for Lizz and when he was presented with a new opportunity, she was one of his greatest supporters. She even continued to follow his growth/success long after he left the City - her genuine concern left a lasting impact on him. I will truly miss...

Liz,
I miss you!
I enjoyed the LSU football season with you!
You made the games more fun by being able to share the excitement! I will remember you during every game- Go LIZ!!!

My Heart Hurts. My first project with the city was Everbridge. It tied us together allowing us to get to know each other. Years later we would chat and hangout in her office at least once a month and just download everything that was going on. Her at her desk and me in he tall backed chair that always felt like I was in a therapy session. Lizz, I will miss our conversations.

I was working in communication in Public Works and we wanted to create recycling videos but didn't have a budget. She offered to videotape and edit them for us. Jerry Ivory, David Thompson and I spent hours creating a series of videos to encourage Chesapeake citizens to recycle. And that's just one of the many ways Lizz met challenges. I loved her positive energy, kind smile, and expertise. I wish I had had the chance to tell her that and also say goodbye. RIP Lizz.
