ellen, my deepest sympathy to you and the family on Betty's death. Betty was a wonderful supervisor and mentor to me when i began working in january 1966 as a very young nurse at the springfield health department. years later, she was a very good friend and neighbor to my parents on oregon st.
mom enjoyed riding up to holyoke in the evening with betty to visit bridgie. whenever, i visited springfield, i enjoyed seeing betty and catching up on happenings in springfield.
