Peppler Funeral Home - Allentown Obituary

Elizabeth "Betty" Infante passed away peacefully and with the loving care of her family and devoted husband Michael by her side on Wednesday, September 11, 2024, at the Serenity Hospice Unit at Robert Wood Johnson University Hospital in Hamilton, NJ.

Born on November 18, 1948 in Allentown, NJ, Betty was a lifelong area resident and lived most of her life in Cream Ridge, NJ. She and her husband met on a blind date and on the second date he asked her to marry him, and they were inseparable thereafter. They worked side by side farming, selling produce at farm markets and later working on a school bus where she was Michael’s bus aid. While he was the driver, Betty provided compassionate care to special needs children. Other jobs she held were related to the food service industry. She was well known for her cooking, canning, and baking cookies and pies for the holidays. She loved Christmas and decorating her house inside and out. Betty enjoyed trips with her husband to Parx Casino, but her favorite place to go was Disney World. She took trips almost annually with her son, daughter-in-law and grandson over the years to Orlando. Betty was a loving and devoted wife, mother, and grandmother.

Betty was the daughter of the late Elizabeth Rinyu. She is survived by her husband of more than 57 years, Michael L. Infante; her daughter, Michelle Casella (husband Ben) and son, Rocco Infante (wife Carol); three cherished grandsons, Ben Jr. (fiancé Alexis), Jason, and Dominick.

A visitation with the family will be held from 9 to 11am, with a service starting at 11 on Wednesday, September 18th at Peppler Funeral Home, 114 S. Main St., Allentown.  Inurnment will follow in Cream Ridge Cemetery.  In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in the name of Elizabeth Infante to Tunnels to Towers at Donate to Tunnel to Towers Foundation (t2t.org) to help Gold Star and fallen first responder families.

Not sure what to say?

I remember Betty fondly as both a child and an adult. Betty would babysit for me and my sisters. We loved when she would come to our home. As an adult I will always remember her as a kind and thoughtful soul. My deepest sympathies to her family.

Sorry for your loss, and our deepest condolences. Richard A Mikovsky Linda D Headley Virginia, Michaele, and Maria

Mike and family, we were so sorry to hear of Betty’s illness and passing. We knew each other for many years. The best times were at the tri county market. We always had so much fun and work. Then there was your store. Than there were the times we saw each other at Columbus. She was always a shining star. Sorry we were unable to be there for you. Debbie and George kucowski
