CHICOPEE – Elizabeth (Belsky) Kruszyna, 88, a resident of Chicopee since 1962, passed away on Saturday, March 25, 2017. She was born in Springfield on October 13, 1928, the daughter of the late Fedor and Anna (Machnott) Belsky. She was raised and educated in Springfield and graduated from Commerce High School. Elizabeth was employed for 30 years as an Advertising Associate by Jasin Advertising and retired in 1990. She worshipped at the Faith United Methodist Church in Chicopee and was a member of Hannum Lodge of the Order of the Eastern Star. She loved to cook and quickly developed a reputation for making the Worlds' Best Carrot Cake according to the many who were lucky enough to sample it. She also loved to sew and was fondly known as "Gaga" by her grandchildren and their friends. Elizabeth leaves her husband of 68 years, Stanley J. Kruszyna, 2 daughters, Lynne D. Quintin and her husband Robert of Merritt Island, FL and Pamela Gilbert and her husband Dave of Panama City, FL as well as 6 grandchildren, Emily Carlson, Elizabeth Hanks, Chandler Quintin, Audra Quintin, Gena Dube and John Rossini and 5 great grandchildren. She was predeceased by her three siblings, Nina, Leo and Nicholas Belsky. Family and friends are invited to gather for committal services on Thursday, April 13, 2017 in the chapel of the Massachusetts Veterans' Memorial Cemetery in Agawam at 11 a.m. There are no calling hours. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Dakin Humane Society, P. O. Box 6307, Springfield, MA, 01101. The arrangements have been entrusted to the Corridan Funeral Home, 333 Springfield St., Chicopee.
