Not sure what to say?

Dear Paul and Mimi,

I left a message on November 20th but returned to find it wasn't here.

It went something like this.

I was so sorry to learn of the loss of your mother but also amazed by the fullness of her life. As you know, I served on the BC Alumni Board with your dad, Anthony, who lit up when your mother entered the room, his delight obvious and only equaled by his pride in you. I know that your happy memories will sustain you.

Arnie and...

Dear Mimi and Paul

So sorry to hear of the loss of your beloved mother. I know how much both of you loved her and especially how you both so lovingly cared for her.
She lived a great life and had the good blessings and values to give back to her community. All of Boston is better for that as that quality was passed down to her son and daughter in law, whom have graced our community with their special talents

I am so sad my Auntie is gone, and I am most appreciative of the kindness of those who write in this guest book. My auntie was very much an avid reader, an intellectual (with fantastic to-the-point insights), an unbelievable cook, and a woman of class, humbleness, and dignity that she wore in each moment of her day like so many of her fashionable pins. I miss her profoundly, and I am so proud and honored to have her in my memories and share her long, beautiful life in my future stories about...

It's said we die as we lived.

I only met Mrs LaCamera at the end of her life, but am grateful to have witnessed her quiet dignity, and to have seen her beautiful blue eyes and warm smile.

Those who read this will have known Mrs. La Camera far better than I did, but I can say in simple truth how much I enjoyed talking with her about her early life and I remember vividly the joy she showed while watching her great-grandchildren. My condolences to the family for this departure

The assembly hall community room at the Barnes School Elderly Housing in East Boston also bears Mrs. LaCamera ‘s name. At the dedication ceremony Mrs. LaCamera arose from her seat in the audience, quietly and briefly expressed thanks for the unsolicited honor that had come her way and then very quickly left the center stage and returned to the audience to re-join her sister. Such was her life. In her time and place hers was a presence dedicated to going out to do necessary community work and...

I was sorry to see the notice of Mrs. La Camera's passing but was reminded there has always been strong women servant leaders in our East Boston community. She came from a generation who did things because it was the right thing to do and didn't spend a lot of time whining. There aren't many of them left and we are the lesser for it.

May this lovely lady RIP.
