I am so sorry I found out of Betty's passing today, too late to attend her memorial. Aunt Betty and Uncle Louie were my Godparents. I have wonderful memories of them as I was growing up. They were also very close to my parents (Minnie & Alva Howell). I admired her returning to school later in her life to become a nurse and she also worked with my mother with the New Orleans Health Department for many years. She was a remarkable person.
