LUARD, Elizabeth M. (Goble) - Of Swartz Creek, age 95, was called Home to join her Heavenly Father on Friday, December 10, 2021 at Regency of Grand Blanc where she resided for 2 ½ years.


Elizabeth was born in North Adams, Michigan on February 22, 1926, the daughter of the late Warren Mangus Goble and Ada Caroline (Hofacker) Goble. Her mother died soon after her birth, and she was raised by her aunt and uncle, Thomas and Ada Grubaugh. She married Laurence Shirley Luard on June 5, 1945 and he preceded her in death on January 25, 1994 at the age of 75. Mrs. Luard was a Pastor’s wife and was very committed to the Lord’s work. She was a church secretary, children’s church leader, ladies Missionary Society leader, choir director, faithful prayer warrior, as well as a caregiver to her aged friends, driving them to church and to doctor appointments. Her life exemplified her love for her Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ.


Surviving are daughter, Mary Ellen (Luard)(Gary) Neff and son, John (Phyllis) Luard both of Swartz Creek;


Grandchildren, Matthew Luard, Mark (Angela) Luard, Mindy (Jon) Swartz, Jason Neff, Rebecca Neff, Sarah Neff, Kelly Neff, Nicholas Neff and Benjamin Neff;


Great-grandchildren, Tyler Ingersoll, Noah Luard, Madelyn Luard, and Landon Swartz;


Nieces, Audrey McClure and Susan (Dennis) Norman;


And many great nieces and nephews.


She was preceded in death by her daughter, Martha Lynn Luard, granddaughter, Martha Marie Neff, grandson, Anthony Eric Neff, brother, Don and sisters, Mable and Lois.


A private family service will be held with burial in Montrose Township Cemetery.


A special thank you to Regency at Grand Blanc and the wonderful staff who faithfully cared for her through very difficult times. Special thanks to Jennifer, her social worker, Mary Ann, her hospice nurse, Katie from Rehab; and 2 special friends, Karin and Karen.
