My sympathy and prayers to the MacDonald family on the loss of Betty. I always enjoyed meeting and chatting with her at Canadian Martyrs in Halifax.

Betty was truly impressive in everyway. Though I did not know her well, her warmth,, spark, and Joie de vivre were immeasurable! R.I.P. Betty and much love and condolences to the family.

Ah, dear Betty. I had the great good fortune of meeting and working with this remarkable lady at David‘s Place, Halifax, volunteering through the VON. She taught me through her actions and words how to be present, gracious and so very kind to everyone she encountered. She told me that she attributed her good health to tennis, walking and sleeping every night of her life, regardless of the weather, with her bedroom window open! I think of her often with fondness and was saddened to read of...

My condolences to you all! I will always be grateful for putting me up, one night, in her home in Halifax, many years ago. This was the first time I had met Betty. How kind and generous of her to provide me with a comfortable place to sleep. ❤
