ELIZABETH "LISK" McCANN

I delivered the New Castle News to the Helbleys on Northview Ave in New Castle PA. That would have been 75 years ago. I also lived on Northview but, in the next block. I made collecting there a last stop so that Elizabeth and I could chat. We did that every week that I was their paper carrier. I’m so sorry to hear of Elizabeth’s passing. I delivered Meals on Wheels lunches to her. She was always the kindest, happiest and most welcoming on my route. I made her last so I could spend more time batting with her! She was always at the door with a huge smile and laugh. Our birthdays were near eachother so we’d “celebrate” together! She was so funny and I loved my Monday’s seeing Mrs. McCann! Prayers to her family.

Elizabeth and I began our friendship over 30 years ago when w hen we met at the Dresden Plate/Antiques of Chester. We share our love of needlework and it continues when i worked at Frame Outlet and had the pleasure of framing many of her beautiful beautiful works of needlework art which I believe were gifts for her daughters.
