I met “Betty” O’Neill in Norwich, NY, in the early 1960s through our mutual interest in bridge. Shortly afterward, Betty and her brood became our neighbors on West Main Street. Betty and I played together in a bridge club until Betty retired and moved to Cazenovia. We remained friends over the years. So sorry to read about Betty. She was one great lady. I first met Betty and Bob in 1948 when I decided to work for Bob at the old Donovan Monument works on Fenner Street in Caz. Right out of High School, I was looking for a steady job. Learning to engrave monuments was not my goal in life but between 1948 and 1950, when I entered the Air Force, I can say that Betty, Bob and I learned how to exist. Although we are in Florida we read the Syracuse paper. We are very sorry about the loss of your wonderful sister, Betty. It would seem from the write-up that she had an interesting and active life.
