I just got to thinking about your dad and mom and what great friends they were to my husband and me! So sorry to see that they passed away..they were great people!

I loved Liz Parsons, she was a delightful, spiritual, beautiful lady who was devoted to her family, church and friends. She was so fun to know and be around. She was best friends with my mother, Doris Butsch. I guess they are still hugging each other up there, maybe her husband is still hugging her though, they'll have to take turns. First met Liz at First Methodist Church in maybe 1940. Charlotte was living. Knew her thru OHS in 1948. So sorry she is gone. Such a lovely person. I was Virginia Gibson then.

My prayers and condolences to all the family at the loss of Liz. She was such a dear person and friend to me. God bless and keep you.

Dear Shep and family, I am so sorry for the loss of your mom. Like many Furman students I was among the recipients of her great gift of hospitality. She really was a luminous presence. I will be thinking of you all in the weeks to come
