Elizabeth Lillie "Lib" Passmore Pascal, 82, of Valdese, departed this life on Sunday, October 27, 2013 at her residence. Born in Gaston County, December 9, 1930, she was a daughter to the late Barney McCoy and Emma Price Passmore. She is preceded in death by her husband, Oscar Pascal; a sister, Blandeana Lail; and a brother, James Passmore. Lib was a member of Waldensian Presbyterian Church. A wonderful wife, mother, and grandmother, she always thought of others before herself. Mrs. Pascal is survived by a son – Eddie Pascal and wife, Linda, of Valdese; daughters – Marie Franklin and husband, Mark, of Valdese, and Teresa Pascal of the home; grandchildren – Robbie Franklin and wife, Ashley, of Drexel, Ally Franklin of Valdese, Lindsey Kincaid and Madie Pascal of Asheville; sisters – Tina Ryglewicz, Josephine Hames, Madeline Harris, and Phyllis Butler, all of Hickory. A Service of Remembrance will be held at 11:00 A.M. Wednesday, October 30, 2013 in the Waldensian Presbyterian Church, with the Rev Dr. Kevin Frederick and Rev. Delores Burris officiating. The family will receive friends Tuesday, October 29, from 6:00 until 8:00 P.M. at Heritage Funeral Service, Valdese. Memorial contributions may be made to Burke Hospice and Palliative Care,1721 Enon Road, Valdese, NC 28690 or Waldensian Presbyterian Church Preschool Ministries, 109 Main Street E, Valdese, NC 28690.
