Elizabeth "Betty" Perry

She was my second cousin, and a very lovely person. I first met her when I was 4 or 5 when she came on her first trip to Europe and we kept in touch all over the years since then. She visited with us in England in the 1970s, and I called on her when I could when I was in USA on business. Her work after retirement for the Senior community was wonderful. She will be much missed and always remembered.

I had the pleasure of being Betty's neighbor for 13 years. She was already deeply involved in advocacy for OWL when I bought my home next door in 1987. It was not unusual to see a TV van parked out front of her home for one of several interviews she gave over the years. An amazing woman, a wonderful neighbor and friend, an inspiration always! Much love to her and her family.

Betty was a real inspiration to me and all of the California Senior Leaders -- a statewide group of extraordinary seniors for which she was chosen in the very first class in 2002. She inspired so many with her wisdom, commitment and compassion and will be greatly missed. My condolences to her family and many friends, Merry Minkler

Kathleen Lane. a co-volunteer with Betty in OWL. She contributed so much to the Organization and was greatly missed when unable to attend. May she rest in Peace!

My deepest sympathy to Betty's family. Your mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, is the woman on whom I modeled my life. She was a sage, a mentor, a stitch, and what I liked most about Ms. Perry - she did not mince words. Her OWL group was instrumental in the early work around breast cancer detection and services in Sac and N. CA, and I had the great fortune to be in her circle during that time.
May her legacy of service, love, compassion, and toughness live in us all...forever.

Betty was one of our bridesmaids when I married my husband, Stan Dison. We grew up together from Jr. Hi. on and I have called her every month since moving to Austin, TX. She visited us here. She was a great gal.
