Seale Funeral Service - Denham Springs Obituary

Elizabeth Ann Bond Poole, 75, of Watson was carried by angels into the arms of her Lord on July 15, 2016. She was devoted to family and friends, loving fiercely and spoiling generously with her prayers and cooking. Ann was born November 17, 1940 in Stoney Point, Louisiana to proud dairy farmers. She loved the gospel music of her churches Stoney Point and Faith Landmark Missionary Baptist Churches, singing along in her boisterous alto as she played the organ or piano. She graduated from Southeastern Louisiana University, where she met the love of her life on a blind date. Upon the graduation of her "boys" from college, she pursued certification from Southern University and taught special education at Southside Junior High School. Ann loved a beautiful home and worked to make all welcome. Ann is preceded in death by her parents, Quillos Daniel "Q.D." and Wilkie Lee Bankston Bond. She is survived by her beloved husband of 53 years, Marvin Bancroft Poole. She is deeply missed by her sons and daughters-in-law: Marvin Hunter and Demarious Holden Poole of Watson and Payton Wayne and Pamela Tanner Poole of Lithia, Fla. She gives her grandchildren precious memories of generosity and care: Lawson Hunter Poole of New Orleans; Justin Paul and Melissa Pigott Poole of Gluckstadt, Miss.; Nicole Elizabeth Poole of Brandon, Miss.; Holden Bond Poole of Watson; Christine Amelia Soulier of Lithia, Fla.; Brennan Bankston Poole of Watson; and Joshua Payton Poole of Lithia, Fla. Her Stoney Point siblings remember Ann's love: Nancy Louise Bond and Kinell Cox; Quillos Daniel, Jr. "Danny" and Cornell Bond; William Payton "Billy" and Emily Eugenia "Genie" Bond. Her legacy of devotion stretches to many nieces and nephews, great nieces and nephews, friends, church family, and fellow members of the Magnolia State Bluegrass Association. The family would like to thank Ann's caregiver and adopted daughter, Stephine Paulino, and the kind personnel of Oschner Hospital's ICU and St. Joseph's Carpenter House. The family will receive visitors Sunday, July 17 from 5:30 - 9 pm and on Monday, July 18 from 10 - 11 am at Seale Funeral Home in Denham Springs. Ann's life and homegoing will be celebrated on Monday, July 18 at 11 a.m. at Seale Funeral Home in Denham Springs. Interment will follow at Stoney Point Landmark Missionary Baptist Church Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations to The Gideons or St. Joseph Carpenter House. "Who can find a virtuous woman? For her price is far above rubies."

Marvin:

Sorry for your loss. I included all of you in my prayers.
(Frank Jeanmard : Nichols / Turner Industries retired.)

Ann was a special person to everyone she met. She was always smiling and had a positive remark to offer. She was a fellow teacher of mine and she will be missed by so many. God has taken another angel from us and she is now helping the lord organize the heavens.

She was a very loving and caring individual. She enjoyed working with her students and watching them make progress. I have beautiful memories of the years we spent working together at Southside Junior High School. We extend our sympathy to Mr. Marvin, Hunter & Family and Payton & Family.

Virginia Bell and Family, Baton Rouge,LA

My thoughts and prayers go out to you, Marvin, your family and your friends.

A beautiful woman, inside and out. Always a pleasure to be around. She was admired by all for her character, generosity, good cooking and willingness to share of herself with friends and family. We will miss her and are praying for Marvin and the family as they go on without her. Knowing that she is safe in the arms of Jesus is a comfort.

Safe in the arms of Jesus. What a lovely lady and fantastic cook who shared her gumbo recipe with me. We know her family will miss her and love her forever. Our love and sympathy to Mr. Marvin, Payton and Pamela and family, and Hunter and Demarious and family.
