Not sure what to say?

Dear Billy and David,
I can't believe Betsy is gone - Mom told me this morning. She is such a part of so many childhood memories for me. Betsy was a wonderful lady with many life lessons to teach. I remember her taking me roller skating, playing tennis at the Island tournament with her friend Diane and bridge night on Wednesdays with Diane and Warren. I couldn't have survived in Charleston at 18yrs old without her. My thoughts and prayers are with you. Like Robin said - Sullivan's...

Dear David, Eileen and Billy,
I am so sorry to hear of Betsy passing.
Although I haven't seen her since Uncle Sam's funeral
I did get emails through my sister, Pat, about Betsy. Memories of long ago at Goodwill with all of you and Aunt Georgie and Uncle Gene came rushing back into my mind like it was yesterday. Good memories of Sullivan's Island and walking and talking on the beach with Betsy.
I'll remember her smile and energy.
My thoughts and prayers are with you...

We'll always remember Betsy as a multi-tasking, southern-folksy, and fun-loving "go-to" lady, who was, back then, the backbone of the Navy Publications and Printing Service, Southeast Division, Charleston, SC. We enjoyed having her at our home when she would visit the DC area, and was especially proud to host her when she was selected as the "NPPS Women of the Year," circa 1985. God bless and hold tight Betsy Richardson.

Dear Billy and David, I am so sorry to hear about Betsy's passing , She was a very friendly person to me whenever I visted with your father Mr E. Richardson. May God give you continued strength at this difficult time. Be Blessed, Fron Vernell Walker( I use to be Mr Richardson's nurse from Home Health Service) hope that you remember me.

Dear Billy and David, Sooo many wonderful childhood memories of living next door to ya'll. Betsy tried to teach me to play piano but I was more interested in feeding your dad's chickens or sitting by the fire to listen to MaMa's stories. I had lots of practice in making rolled wafers with Betsy, Charlotte and your grandmother, and today those are still special treats filled with special memories. I remember Mr. Speck, somehow, had the responsibility of getting groceries/...

Dear David and Eileen, Unable to attend services, but our prayers and thoughts are with you and all the family. Let us know if we can help in any way. Love Robert and Mary Causey

Dear Red and David, I am so sorry about Betsy. I am glad I got to send a little while with her in the Hosiptal. I will miss her and her smarts about the heart. Tina Truesdell(Herndon)

Dear David, Eileen and Billy,
I feel like I have lost a second mother. Betsy was such an integral part of my life on the island and church and all the good things that I remember from growing up. I got a chance to visit with her at the house last spring and it was the same Betsy. There was no bigger or better heart or someone willing to go the extra mile. I can't imagine Sullivan's Island without her. My heart just aches for all of you and for me as well. It feels like a part of...
