Our deepest sympathies to all of the family of such a wonderful woman who not only loved her family but her whole community. How much we all benefited from having her touch our lives in so many meaningful ways.

How I shall miss the lovely, sweet smile of Elizabeth as I often picked her up to go to lunch with "the ladies" until we moved to Georgetown. Two truly great friends over the 30-some years I lived in and did charity events in Houston. They were always my favorites....good natured, loving, kind and warm. I shall miss Elizabeth but know that she is now with her Eddy.
Our best to the families of Scurlocks and Blantons.

I sense a special feeling of loss upon learning of the death of this fine and noble lady. Eddy and Elizabeth Scurlock were icons of philanthropy in my city of birth. My family and I extend our heart-felt condolences to the entire Scurlock, Wareing, and Blanton clan. The Scurlock name will always be especially meaningful to me, as my wife and sons are descendants of Captain William Scurlock, (also an ancestor of Eddy Scurlock), Captain of the first Texas Ranger brigade, survivor of the Goliad...

I was saddened when I read of Mrs. Scurlock's passing. She was truly blessed with both a long and wonderful life. Her generosity will be forever cherished. My mother, Melva Jones, truly loved and admired Mr. and Mrs. Scurlock
